Mystery is not something we can box up tidily – it’s something that may take us some time to process and articulate properly. The disciples are befuddled by Jesus’ transfiguration in Matthew 17, and Susan encourages us to give ourselves permission not to know everything right away, either.

PS – Carnival is totally Brazilian Mardi Gras…. Only it lasts from Friday to Tuesday instead of just one measly day 🙂
